My league format is standard 5 x 5 roto with 9 batters (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, 3 x OF, UTIL), 2 SP, 2 RP, 4 P, 4 BN.
IP cap is 1400.

I have my league settings as 9 batters, 8 pitchers, with $130 for batters and $130 for pitchers.  Not sure if I should adjust that by giving batters more $ based on their ratios or account for my bench spots by going 10 batters, 11 pitchers and then again adjusting the weighting of $.

Standard Yahoo auction with $260.  Just want to make sure I get the settings right.

You player settings look good, but typically more money is allocated to hitters. In your case, I would try $160 hitters and $100 pitchers since that'll put you closer to the Avg Yahoo! auction values. Does that make your costs look better?

I think so... I will try a couple of mocks like this, and see how it works.

Also - with an IP cap is it better to use K/9 as a category instead of K?

Would switching to K/9 overrate the relievers? Do you expect to go way over that limit with your normal drafting?

1400 is pretty sizable as far as an inning cap goes, so I wouldn't worry too much about that

Thanks for the advice.

The 1400 cap will be tough to hit, so I will keep it at Ks.  K/9 does give way too much extra value to the RPs.  Still going to mock with both settings and see how it goes.

You can always enable K/9 but punt it in rankings so you can see and/or sort by the cat without influencing rank. It's a nice stat to see for young pitchers and injured guys obviously.
